Pasco County · Gulf Coast
Greetings From
Holiday
Gulf Coast, Florida
The town didn’t pick its name for the lifestyle. A bank executive did, in the early 1960s, borrowing it off a street sign for a new branch office. The lifestyle came later — gulf canals, fishing piers, palm-lined 55+ villas — and it stuck. What hasn’t kept up is the roofs: most of Holiday went up in one stretch, the 1970s, and that stretch is due.
Field Notes - Holiday, FL
A Name Nobody Planned
In the early 1960s, William W. Boyd — president of a Tarpon Springs savings and loan — was scouting a site for a new branch in southwestern Pasco County. He noticed “Holiday Drive” on a map, liked it enough to name the branch after it, then spent the next stretch convincing the area to take the same name for the whole community. Nobody planned a vacation-town identity around it — the gulf canal, the fishing piers, the 55-and-up villas under the palms all grew up afterward, on their own. Most of the houses went up fast, in one long run through the 1970s and ’80s, on a grid of platted lots that still defines the place today.

What This Stretch Of Coast Asks Of A Roof
Same Era, Same
Issues, All At Once
Gulf Canal Corridor
Higher Water, Even In An Ordinary Storm
A Gulf canal runs straight through the middle of Holiday, and water levels here climb higher in a storm than in areas without that canal access. We install with that drainage reality built in, not bolted on as an afterthought.
Median Build Year: 1971
An Entire Town Aging At Once
More homes here went up in a single decade — the 1970s — than in any era since. That means a huge share of Holiday's roofs are crossing the same age line at roughly the same time, whether anyone's gotten the notice yet or not.

Manufactured Homes, Done By The Book
Holiday has some of Pasco's largest concentrations of manufactured and 55-plus communities. Re-roofing one means a HUD-compliant system and a crew that's actually done it before — not a standard shingle crew improvising on site.
Affordable Gulf Coast
Priced For The Market That’s Actually Here
Holiday is one of the last genuinely affordable Gulf-side communities left in Pasco. We quote every job the same way — fair, itemized, no pressure — because that's the market we actually work in, not a luxury rate card with a discount sticker on it.
Life On The Canal
Around Holiday
Gated 55+ villa or a 1970s ranch a few streets back from the canal, we’ve worked this whole stretch of the Gulf coast long enough to know it past the roofline.
Boat ramps, fishing pier, picnic pavilions
Anclote River Park
A straight shot to the Gulf by water — the launch point for half the boats and fishing trips that define life here.
Coastal Anclote Trail, 5 miles
Key Vista Nature Park
Walking and biking trails through wooded dunes straight to the Gulf, linking Holiday’s beach parks end to end.
Home of the Greater Holiday Little League
J. Ben Harrill Sports Complex
Ballfields, courts, and the rec complex that anchors weekday evenings and weekend tournaments alike.
